Fatherhood

What a joy fatherhood can be. Not only do you get to mold lives for the future, but you get to enjoy the little moments.

This particular enjoyable Fatherhood moment happens to be courtesy of summer. We tend to be out and about later in the evening more often during the summer, so we commonly come home after the boys have gone to sleep in the car. What pure joy it is to pick my boys up out of the truck or car carrying them into bed, having them flounder in your arms as you pick them up, give you an unintentional hug, and then lay them down into dreamland.

What a privilege it is to have children and take care of them, and what an immense rewards it is to share in these fleeting moments that will only last for as long as they are children (or as long as you can carry them). It is beyond me how some parents can hurt their offspring (both physically and emotionally) when you can share these special moments.
